“Basic Rights in Special Education” Workshop

Thursday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m., GHS Library

The Federation for Children with Special Needs puts on a Basic Rights Workshops in Grafton once a year; but you may also attend a workshop in any other town (Go to  https://fcsn.org/ for the latest schedule). We strongly encourage parents to attend at least once, especially if you are just starting out on the journey of parenting a special needs child. We promise this will be TIME WELL SPENT.

The Basic Rights workshop provides families with an introduction to their rights and responsibilities under:
• Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
• Massachusetts Special Education Law

This workshop is designed to help parents learn to be effective partners with their child’s school, to decide their child’s eligibility for special education, and to plan, make decisions and monitor their child’s progress in school. Best of all? It’s FREE!
